

On October 4, 2025, Happy To Help (HTH Inc.) Founder Maxine Acosta received the 2025 Joel P. Hudson Humanitarian Award from Rainbow Village, recognizing her and HTH Inc.’s commitment to community service and social impact
The award reflects not only individual leadership but also the collective efforts of the volunteers, mentors, and supporters who have contributed to HTH’s continued growth and impact.
The HTH Inc.(Happy to Help charity organization) was founded by Maxine Acosta and is a public charity under the IRC Section 501(c)(3). These events have been going on since 2020 starting with a group donation of summer camp supplies to Rainbow Village Duluth GA and Home of Hope at Gwinnett Children’s Shelter, a virtual performance event to raise money in 2021 to Rainbow Village Duluth GA and Home of Hope at Gwinnett Children’s Shelter for their summer camp program, and a in person charity performance to raise money in 2022 to Rainbow Village Duluth GA for their after school program.
The mission of HTH Inc. is to spread awareness and help and give back to those in the community.

Maxine Acosta is the Founder and CEO of HTH Inc. (Happy to Help) and a freshman in the Morehead Honors College at the University of Georgia. Since founding HTH in 2020, she has led fundraising performances, auctions, and outreach initiatives that have raised $40,000+ for community causes. Her work in directing and producing nonprofit multimedia campaigns has reached 11,000+ viewers and earned her the Joel P. Hudson Humanitarian Award for outstanding community impact.

Vicki Lu is a doctoral candidate at The University of Georgia, studying Ethnomusicology with an emphasis in Chinese music and performance. She is also the Director of Spring Music School. Vicki is passionate about philanthropy, using her work as a performer and educator to share Chinese musical arts and collaborate with organizations like Happy To Help (HTH), alongside her student and co-director Maxine Acosta, to support communities in the Metro Atlanta area.

Dianne Ji is a senior at GSMST and serves as the Director of Marketing for HTH Inc. (Happy To Help). She is excited to contribute her skills to the organization’s events and initiatives this year. Dianne also aims to enhance her productivity and time-management skills and has set a personal goal of learning to crochet by December.

Fiona Chen is a senior at the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology (GSMST). Her interests include swimming, origami, drawing, and, more recently, learning to use the Chinese yo-yo. Fiona joined HTH Inc. (Happy To Help) to give back to her community, using her creativity and communication skills to make a positive impact. She values the opportunity to help others and bring genuine smiles to people’s faces without expecting anything in return.

Briana Codrescu is a senior at the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology (GSMST) and serves as the Director of Technology and Social Media Director for Happy To Help (HTH) Inc. After attending the Have a Great Summer charity event, she was inspired by HTH’s mission and its impact on the community. Briana is dedicated to enhancing the organization’s marketing and behind-the-scenes operations, aiming to expand HTH’s reach and recognition. In her free time, she enjoys solving Rubik’s Cubes and photography, hobbies she has pursued for the past four years.

Tommy Weng is a junior at The Westminster Schools with a strong interest in organizational leadership and technology. Through his involvement with Happy To Help (HTH), he aims to gain experience in personnel management, logistics, coordination, and event planning. Tommy leverages his curiosity in technological and scientific topics to help optimize event operations, increasing efficiency and productivity while minimizing resource use. In his spare time, he enjoys aviation photography, engineering projects, and exploring Wikipedia rabbit holes.

Jerry Zheng is a junior at Mountain View High School with a variety of interests, including reading, computer work, and practicing Chinese yo-yo. He joined Happy To Help (HTH) during his freshman year to fulfill community service hours and quickly discovered a passion for helping and entertaining others. Through volunteering with the Dragon Team, Jerry has developed teamwork and leadership skills while contributing to performances and activities that bring joy to the community.

Landon Liu is a senior at the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology. He is excited to contribute to Happy To Help (HTH) by teaching music and teamwork skills to young students, sharing joy, and making a positive impact within the community.

Jasmine Owen is a junior at North Gwinnett High School. She began her involvement with Happy To Help (HTH) in 2020, initially donating supplies to local shelters, and has continued volunteering and performing at annual HAGS events. Through her participation in the Dragon Team, Jasmine has developed leadership and collaboration skills, which she applies to introducing new initiatives to expand HTH’s impact in the community. Outside of HTH, she is a member of the varsity tennis team and a violist in the NGHS orchestra.
